THIS IS NOT JUST A CAKE SHOP. I can say that they re probably one of the best Indian street food and vegetarian cuisine based small outlets in NJ . If you don't believe it ask your colleagues who are from Princeton and plainsboro. I am the laziest but pickiest guy around when it comes to food . Particularly Indian food and ingredients . I was very active on yelp for three years in Houston and after moving to nj my number of reviews just fell . So take this review with the same commitment and honesty from a 2015 and 2016 yelp elite . I was pretty psyched when cakewalk opened their franchise shop in talmadge road so close to where I live . I work near Princeton and Iam a patron of their plainsboro and east Windsor locations . At the shop I noticed that the staff were some super enthusiastic youngsters . Very earnest in their suggestions and opinions on available choices . I have been here like more than ten times and they have consistently delivered excellent food . The first time I remember having poori bhaji and I was mind blown . It was excellent . Their other 2 locations don't serve poori bhaaji and this made it all the more exclusive . Since then I have got it altleast 5 Times . Since Iam a patron I know that their other 2 locations are super crowded all the time . I was wondering why I don't see that kind of movement in this location and then it struck me that people here are not familiar with this name and thinks that it is a cake shop . I think they need some word of mouth publicity on what they are actually good at . Now back to topic , yesterday I had the best experience yet with their unlimited breakfast platter at 9.95 . Happens on weekends with unlimited dosa , idly , poori , upma, pongal, kesari , vada , with unlimited refills of madras coffee and masala tea , how cool is that . Throughly enjoyed it after a swim . This place is a gem , hope it does not close down because people jut assume things reading the name of the shop or they order Veg noodles ( seriously) and write a bad review because they found a hair and the person at shop just apologized . Give them a chance to serve stuff they are brilliant at . They have a legacy and a number of patrons like me . read more
