Large assortment of bakery items, from breads to cakes, and macarons. This bakery is split with another restaurant serving Portuguese food. Left side isbfor Caldense.
My friend suggested visiting Caldense as we were in the neighbourhood and it was a good experience! I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap, some pastries, and my friend got a pork sandwich and pineapple square.
The wrap was pretty tasty, loaded with ingredients, but slightly too oily for my preference. The wrapper was similar to a thin pita, it was small and barely wrapped around all the ingredients. It was under $10 (I believe $7.50+tax) and well worth the price!
Some of the treats we got were unmarked with no name or price to go with them. We ended up getting a macaron (birthday cake), lemon tart, double chocolate square, and a nutella lobster tail. They were not mind-blowing but still pretty decent.
The bakery is cozy with a few tables to eat in, but it was split with another restaurant! It wasnt easily distinguishable and was quite confusing came time to order as it was our first time visiting. The left side is for Caldense, and the right side served Portuguese food.
After ordering, there was no number or ticket, but they called out the order. We sat on the other side and I didn't hear it, but they came around to where we sat, very considerate as I was taking care of my young daughter as she was already eating her own food. read more
