California Grill at the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris is nothing like the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. My California family had an excellent meal at this restaurant.
The atmosphere is more classic than contemporary. It feels like an old-fashioned restaurant. Lots of flowers. The menu is still very inspired by California cuisine, with a French influence.
Like most of the restaurants at the resort, the meal is organized into courses: starter, main and dessert. You have the option to choose a dish for the starter, another dish for the main and dessert if you want it. This restaurant also has the option of a fixed price menu with pre-set courses, with several price points, with different menu options.
The meal felt quite fancy. When we were seated, the top platter bore the name of the restaurant. Before the first course, they cleared this plate and gave us plates for the food. A lot of care was taken throughout the meal to provide clean plates for each course.
One highlight of this meal was the hors d'oeuvre, which every diner at the restaurant receives, regardless of their order. The fish mix was shaped like a little mouse! The cheese mix was green! So cute and delicious.
Our server, Antonio, was pleasantly cheerful and friendly. He never left our wine glasses empty.
Overall, we had a great time with great food at California Grill at the Disneyland Hotel. read more
