For many years, we have been attending the Sleepy Hollow Christmas Lights Extravaganza, commonly referred to as Candy Cane Lane, in Torrance. This year, we opted to explore the smaller version of Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo for a change of scenery. Regrettably, the experience fell short of expectations, particularly with the entire display focused on a single block. The overall presentations were also lacking. El Segundo simply does not measure up to the impressive displays found in Torrance. We departed a little after 4:30 pm and arrived back home by 5:50 pm. We suggest that you bypass the El Segundo illumination display and head directly to Torrance instead. Both options are free. read more
