Cape Cod's route 6A is the Old King's Highway that runs from Sandwich,MA to Orleans, MA. It is much more scenic than driving on Highway 6.
There are pretty houses with the picket-fences. Just like I imagined what Cape Cod should look like.
There are diners, antique shops, donut shops and farm houses along the route.
We also stopped off a the Roland C. Nickerson State Park. There are easy hiking trails to Flax Pond and Cliff Pond.
The Rail-to-trail bike trail runs right through here. So you can park at the state park and bike north or south.
Route 6A end at Orleans and merges with Route 6 but splits off at North Truro and head North to Provincetown to become Bradford St. read more
