We came to Wareham for a specific shopping item but it was out of stock - so before heading back home, we needed a coffee and a second breakfast (hobbit blood runs in us). So casting about for a local cafe, we stopped in at Cape Cod Coffee. What a lucky find! CCC has outstanding coffee - my americano was rich, full-bodied, and deep; my wife's cappucino was also very good. She had their avocado toast with eggs added and said it was quite good; I had their "traditional plate" breakfast set comprising of 2 eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. It was solid and satisfying, the bacon was very tasty, meaty and not too fatty or salty. The home fries were deep-fried potato cubes unfortunately - not bad as fried potato cubes go, but I wish they were more of a traditionally-made home fries ... that is, skillet-fried with onions, peppers, paprika, and plenty of garlic powder. Also it would be nice to have had some jam served with the toast - it was good toasted bread, already buttered, but some jam would have made it perfection. So although we left Wareham empty-handed, at least we left with full stomachs! Staff was very pleasant, welcoming, and attentive. read more
