A great room in a family B&B in a central location. We had a huge room with Victorian double height ceiling which also featured a modern bath in the bedroom. The bed was very comfy and a large king size so absolutely great. The bathroom was separate and sadly shared but was modern with a walk in shower and very clean. The family and staff were all friendly, but we did find breakfast a little bit awkward in the family kitchen. A touch of subtle background music would have helped break the mix between uncomfortable silence and a 3 year old screaming through the breakfast on both days, which, with the owner and 2 helpers just didn't seem needed. I was also worried as the kid was in constant threat of being burned and I'm sure he would have been happier in another room playing. A breakfast menu of choices would have helped too as we were told continental breakfast then offered porridge and pancakes and so didn't know what tyke options were. I did have the porridge which was lovely with a hint of apple and cinnamon and topped with fruit salad. It didn't need the chocolate sauce it came with this lost the cinnamon.
