I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I did not want to make a reservation because I just wanted my croissants to go. So I stood in the line for 45 mins when they opened at 9:30 am and got my hands on the ginormous croissants and pain au chocolat. I was wowed by the size and how perfectly attractive they were. So much time and effort goes into each croissant. But for me, it was just ok. I like mine a bit more buttery and soft. This was "crispy" and brittle and a tad too dry. This is "fancy", no doubt. They have a whole collection of pastries that you can order online and collect. I wasn't able to try any of those because they all have fish gelatin in them that I do not consume. So while they looked pretty, I have no idea how they taste. Cedric is a genius. Each pastry is a work of art. This should be in your bucket list when you visit Paris. read more
