DO NOT USE THIS KIOSK,
They Damaged my phone and couldn't replace the battery, and the clerk was rude.
I dropped my iPhone SE off at CellDoc w/ Francesca @ approximately 12:50 pm On 7/29/2020 to have it's battery replaced. She quoted a price of $40 and a time estimate of 10 minutes. I left, went to Urban Outfitters and then Barnes & Noble for about 20 minutes. I returned and was told she needed to charge the battery as the business had only been reopened for a few days and it was at 17%, but CellDoc's policy was to have them at 60%, she said it wouldn't take long. My phone was disassembled in front of her, battery still in. I took it in stride and went to browse more stores. Came back about 30 minutes later to find her still struggling with removing the battery of my phone. Figured it would be a little longer and departed for a third time. Returned after about 20 minutes and inquired as to how long it might be. She was frustrated, explained if she weren't careful the battery could explode. At this point she rudely stated I could either be patient with her and respect her time or take my phone back. I chose option 2, then proceeded to ask the other clerk for the manager's contact info, so I could let them know of the rude service. After getting his card, Francesca handed my phone back to me. I began to depart, only to find that my phone's frame was cracked. Also that the home button and touch ID were incapacitated. I showed both to Francesca. She rolled her eyes and took my phone back, I remained there for about 12 minutes while 2 of these 3 issues were dealt with. She handed it back and the screen at the top was now a good 3 millimeters outside of the frame, it had not been like this when she first gave it back, I showed this to both clerks, Francesca then stormed off to use the bathroom, the other clerk, the manager's sister, as it turns out, witnessed all of this. I emailed the manager, Murat, he asked to see photos, and decided that he is not responsible because they use plastic tools, I told him I literally saw her using two metal screwdrivers while she was struggling with the battery, in addition to the plastic shim. I have taken photos and am holding Francesca accountable for damaging my phone, and CellDoc of Tysons with replacing it. I will be taking them to court. read more
