NOV 2023. - This is a construction zone! Don't expect peace and quiet anytime soon. A towering 27-story building is rising just in front and is going to be completed in 2026. Years of relentless drilling and noise, day and night. And that's just the beginning. Four more buildings right in from of Central Place are on the chopping block. Imagine the sound of heavy machinery required to demolish and erect such giants, it's not just planes you'll hear. I live on an upper unit, and still, this harmful dust from the ongoing construction finds its way in despite my effort to keep my window closed. It appears the building shares a ventilation system, at least that's what management has indicated to me. Unfortunately, Central Place seems to neglect our health, refusing to routinely clean the air ducts in each unit, leaving us to live in an unhealthy environment. The screeching, drilling, hammering it's relentless, even on weekend and holidays. Forget about getting a peaceful night sleep with night work on utilities like sewer and water. And if you have a dog, think about what noise can do to those sensitive ears. read more
