My father and I went on a 7 day summer pack trip into the Bob Marshall Wilderness with Matt Cheff. The camps were surprisingly luxurious for being 29 miles away from the trailhead. The camp at Gordon Creek was probably my favorite and the scenery was unbeatable. The food was also very good. Our camp cook, Bob did a great job and would cater the meals to dietary restrictions. It was always nice that when you got off the river from a day of fishing, dinner was already on the stove and would be ready in minutes. Matt was a hilarious guy to go on day rides around the Bob with. He told stories from past guests and his childhood and I was laughing so hard I was brought to tears on multiple occasions. Overall, we rode roughly 100 miles on horseback, we caught so many fish (think hundreds) that we stopped counting after about an hour or so. I caught a couple nice bull trout and hundreds of 16" cutthroat on dry flies. I will definitely be back for years to come. read more
