Dumpster fire: noun A fire in a dumpster, or a large bin for refuse. Slang. a situation, person, or thing that is disastrous and out of control: Pretty much sums up this place. Even with their recent remodel, this place still feels like a disorganized bodega. The bathrooms are a mess, with urine all over the floors.
