Expect about average care and service. If your dog or puppy has any special needs, the quality may vary.
My pup's cut was nice, they did decent and what was expected for when he had matts or when I decided to groom him myself (which went poorly).
I was prepared for anything since the front desk couldn't give me clear answers of how he was going to look every time I took him. My puppy is low maintenance, no health or allergy issues so far. He still looked cute when we picked him up. They also did good with our family's late senior dog.
But my sister's puppy has a lot of special needs. Her care was handled quite poorly and looked nothing like herself. Honestly, after seeing the owner's response to her review, I'm not sure this place can accommodate all kinds of dogs.
They seem pretty firm on the one sort of cut they offer, if you have specific expectations it might be difficult for them to meet. One visit should be enough to tell if it's right for your dog and make sure to trust your first gut instinct!
Edit:
Hi Monica, thanks for taking the time to respond! I hope your business also takes the time to consider good faith feedback. I'm glad that Chixie has cared for lots of different dogs, we just didn't see that reflected with my sister's. We encourage future clients to ask lots of clarifying questions before booking. While every groomer is different, attending customer needs is standard for any business, so there's plenty of options in Houston, but thanks for the well wishes! read more
