TL;DR/The Short Version: New Thai Restaurant in Orleans (opened summer of 2024). The Pad Thai was too heavy on the fish sauce for my liking and the Pad Kee Mao was too oily for my tastes. The Long Version: I stumbled upon Chopp Chop by accident as I was checking out Stuffed Cookies by Kat in the same strip mall. I made a mental note to check out their website. Later that day I checked out their website and planned on going back to grab some dishes for my parents and I. I called the restaurant to place my order and they said it would be about 45 minutes. That was too long for us, so my parents just had leftovers and I went home, lol. Fast forward a week and I was back in Orleans visiting my parents. My brother heard about our story and preordered some Chopp Chop to be delivered through UberEats to my parents' house for after I arrived to visit them. Sweet, right? He got us a Chicken Pad Thai ($17.95 at the store, I think it was slightly higher on UberEats) and a Beef Pad Kee Mao ($17.95 at the store, UberEats price slightly higher I think). The Pad Thai had a lot of fish sauce in it. The smell was a bit overwhelming when I opened the container, lol. I was not a fan. It did have some nice lean slices of chicken breast, tiny pieces of fried tofu, eggs, bean sprouts and green onions. With crushed peanuts sprinkled on top. The sauce was a bit sour and too fishy. Maybe it was just too authentic for me, lol. The Pad Kee Mao was good, but too oily for my liking. However, I enjoyed the flavour. It was medium spicy. It had red peppers, carrots and baby corn. I would have enjoyed this dish more if they were less heavy-handed with the oil. I'm grateful my brother sent us lunch from Chopp Chop and I'm happy to have tried this new restaurant. It wasn't my cup of tea but it may be to the liking of others. When I walked by the restaurant it was hopping, so quite popular. There's seating inside to eat in. It looked casual but modern inside.
