Chow has been open for a few weeks now after closing for the winter and the menu has expanded a bit
First - all sandwiches served on hamburger style buns are now served on a very good brioche-like Giminetti bun. These make any sandwich better.
Turkey burgers have been added to the everyday menu due to popular demand. I need to try one of these topped with her awesome chili, also available every day
Daily Specials below are available ONLY on the day listed, as follows
Monday - the turkey-based jambalaya, 3.00 sm / 5.50 lg, which is served with corn bread. I am not a big turkey fan, but this is really good, especially on a colder day.
Tuesday - taco salad and walking taco (bag of fritos topped with taco fixins). I have not tried either of these items yet.
Wednesday - meatloaf sandwich with chips. Gravy is optional. The meatloaf is excellent. The gravy (which is a work in progress, per the owner) is not a traditional beef gravy and I'd recommend getting it on the side to try first. When the colder months return, the chips will be replaced with mac-n-cheese. I've uploaded a pic of this.
Thursday - pulled chicken sandwich and pulled chicken topped fries. this is braised chicken, seasoned, with a little bbq sauce added. The sandwich is optionally topped with slaw, and the fries are optionally topped with shredded habanero cheese, which isn't (despite the name) hot at all.
Friday: Fried Cod sandwich with chips. When the colder months return, the chips will be replaced with mac-n-cheese.
EDIT 20160603: finally had the Friday special today, and it was outstanding. the cod was not just fried to order, it was breaded to order, and it was a good, thick filet, enough fish for TWO sandwiches. On a Giminetti bun with good fresh produce, including a beautiful red tomato slice. One of the best fish sandwiches I have had in a long, long time.
EDIT 20160616: instead of pulled pork on Tuesdays, they are now doing taco salads and a walking taco read more
