My wife and I stopped off for dinner at Christopher's Corner, having surveyed the alternatives in the area during a brief vacation getaway. We were not disappointed!
The service was prompt and polite, flawless. Our appetizer of warm olives and baked feta with toasted pita slices was delicious. A beet and pear salad with grilled shrimp and candied walnuts was well balanced, and the boar sausage, potatoes, and peas were a welcome and well-prepared alternative to the run-of-the-mill. A side of grilled asparagus and prosciutto rounded out the meal well. A brownie with brown sugar cinnamon ice cream (so delicious) was perfect for two. A surprise bonus: the server brought my decaf coffee in its own French press, with more than enough to refill my mug. And, it was great to have the chef, Buddy, come out and ask about our meal and experience.
Quick note: the Goth-themed decor and menu descriptions are unusual but well-worth the visit! read more
