My wife and I stopped off for dinner at Christopher's Corner, having surveyed the alternatives in the area during a brief vacation getaway. We were not disappointed! The service was prompt and polite, flawless. Our appetizer of warm olives and baked feta with toasted pita slices was delicious. A beet and pear salad with grilled shrimp and candied walnuts was well balanced, and the boar sausage, potatoes, and peas were a welcome and well-prepared alternative to the run-of-the-mill. A side of grilled asparagus and prosciutto rounded out the meal well. A brownie with brown sugar cinnamon ice cream (so delicious) was perfect for two. A surprise bonus: the server brought my decaf coffee in its own French press, with more than enough to refill my mug.
