The Clayton General Store is located in the Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield. I was welcomed immediately when I walked in the door. The store sells a little bit of everything from stationery to local NC products like honey, jams, Atkinson Mill products, soaps. Then there were records and cds; signs and such with sayings; lawn decor; ice cream and candy. Antiques were also in the store but those seemed to be store decor rather than for sale but added to the old time vibes of the store. I will be making return trips to shop here again. read more
