This is truly a beautiful place to visit! My first experience was years ago when my photographer recommended it for family pictures. I immediately fell in love with the Spanish moss hanging from the trees and definitely wanted to capture that "southern" look. Also, there are places off the beaten path near little waterfalls and rushing water for more picture opportunities.
Since then, I've returned with my family and friends for a relaxing stroll in nature. I enjoy the paths, especially for my young daughter. They have so much to offer: kayak rentals, bicycle rentals, a cooling off area for both humans and pets, bike repair station, a playground, etc.
I appreciate that they have clean restrooms available as well as trash cans, and doggy doo receptacles. There's a lot to explore and a lot of history, I highly recommend it! read more
