This hotel has been around since Queen Victoria made her visit to this colorful port town, it also served as a make shift hospital for survivors of the Lusitania. It is a very old hotel, but they have kept its charm while making a good attempt at some modernization. Wi-Fi signal is surprisingly strong strong despite thick walls, there is a fantastic view of the town from the roof garden, breakfast was good but can't comment on dinner. As an old hotel it is a bit rough around the edges, but the location can't be beat, and you are experiencing history here. There are a small number of parking spots behind the hotel that are assigned on a first come first served basis, just have to leave a small cash deposit to get the key fob to open the gate to drive into the lot. Would definitely stay here again. read more
