Recently I stopped at Common Grounds for a treat. They have a variety of pastries available including cakes, cookies, muffins, biscotti and many more items. Some of the treats available were gluten free and paleo which I thought was great that they had options for people with different dietary needs. The coffee shop also offers smoothies, teas, and coffee that can be prepared at least 10 different ways. The interior had a cool vibe with lots of seating available . It looks like a great place to sit and work or meet up with friends.
After looking at all of the available treats I decided to get the cheesecake cone. It was good, but the texture of the cream cheese filling was tacky (it could be due to it being straight out of the refrigerated cooler) and had a light cream cheese flavor. The filing seemed more like a frosting rather than cheesecake filling. Additionally, the price was not aligned with the item. The one cheesecake cone was 6.00 which I did not think was worth it. The service was kind of rushy. I got the vibe that they wanted me to hurry up and select something.
I love that they have enormous coffee bean bags throughout the coffee shop. read more
