My friend's computer caught a virus. So I told her I would find out how much it would cost to get someone to look at it. Well coincidence is a wonderful thing, as I was shopping in Islington and walked right past this computer shop. The sign caught my eye as I passed 'repairs - viruses, software'. So in I went. The guy did not commit himself when I asked for a price to remove a virus, he said it would be 50.00 per hour. He would not give me a top price as he said it would depend. Not much to go on. This could end up costing more than the computer?? I said I needed a price. He then said bring it in and if we cannot fix it we will reinstall the hard drive. I hate that kind of vagueness when it comes to price, you should at least commit to a no more than kind of cost. I doubt I will suggest my friend takes it here, except maybe for a solid quote and be prepared to walk away. read more
