Vaughn is a town in Guadalupe County, New Mexico. The population was 446 at the 2010 census. I would imagine that most of the folks that visit the Conoco would be travelers like me on highway 285, 60 or 54. For such a small town this is a very impressive operation. The bathrooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the inside of the store is quaint. They have many of the things people would want as they continue on a road trip like snacks, drinks, souvenirs and of course gasoline. Because they are a convenience store and gas station with few other options available nearby, the prices can be a bit high but not outrageous. If you're traveling through the area this is a decent place to make a pit stop. read more
