I was looking for a vegan take out in the area and saw this little spot. Google had very good reviews so I went for it. I didn't know what to expect because I wasn't sure if it was a bookstore, cafe, or what. I spotted the little cafe section as soon as I walked in. The rest of the store was filled with books, soaps, herbs, and such.
I jetted to the counter to see what I can order. The menu is on a chalk board and I quickly ordered the vegan sausage and fried plantains. The guy behind the counter seemed spaced out, I couldn't understand him and he wasn't really customer-servicey (a word I made up) but yet he seemed nice? Yeah it's a mix emotion here..He proceeded to make my order and I noticed he wasn't wearing gloves, matter of fact he wasn't wearing a mask! And as a matter of fact NO ONE wasn't wearing a mask in this place!! I believe this establishment is into the whole herbal, natural healing vibe which I don't knock because it is important but we are still in a pandemic!!!
At this point I wanted to cancel my order. But my order is being made so I started looking around the shop and you can see from my pix, the different things they sell. If this is your vibe, this place will work for you but for me it's a nooo. As I am waiting, I was asked if I wanted to stay for a class. I politely declined but in my head I was like "I really just want to go now".
Anyways I got my order, and headed to Chick Fil A - Hahahaa!! read more
