Morgan has cut and colored my hair twice now and it has turned out exactly how I want it. Her salon is at the front of the Sola Salons at Herndon and Willow, next door to Nothing Bundt Cakes. There are a bunch of small stylists and estheticians in the building. I like that Coppermane is right up front and that there's a big front window that gets lots of natural light into the room. It's a small salon that takes 1-2 clients at a time, but it's spacious enough to handle more people in the room, too. The first time I visited it was just Morgan; right now she also has an assistant to help her run two appointments concurrently. Morgan's really easy to talk to and great to work with. She takes the time to listen to what you want and is happy to look at photos and make suggestions that will suit your hair type and coloring. She has also given me a lot of tips for products to use at home, how often to use purple shampoo to maintain my hair color, etc. I also like that she takes note of how you wear your hair and your preferences. Little things like noticing where I part my hair, how much product I had in it, and how I had it styled when I came in informed how she styled it for me. Some stylists go a bit overboard with styling creams and hairspray and I end up wanting to wash it out right away, but Morgan's left my hair pretty close to how I'd do it myself - just better! She posts examples of her work regularly on Instagram (@coppermane) and takes appointments online and by text. Her rates are pretty close to what I've seen other stylists in the area charge.
