Visiting from Austin Texas I was looking for violin repair in Orlando area. I looked on yelp for options. Saul returned my call promptly and had time to service my violin. After driving into a residential area...I questioned google maps. Then I saw a gentleman walking out with a cello... I knew I must be in the right place.
Upon opening the door to the ranch style house my jaw dropped to the floor. Rows and shelves of instruments and accessories. Machinery, string instruments, horse hair, and organized history decorates every room of the house. It is a brilliant display of a man's passion and dedication to music. In conversation with Saul it is obvious you are dealing with a brilliant mind and a musical historian. I felt honored he was sharing his life's passion and genius. I craved to pick his brain further. To have him hold the violin I brought in and explain its construction with the history of tuning left me craving to be a better player.
After leaving I wanted a documentary done on this marvelous man and his life journey. I contacted friends from out of state and suggested they bring their instruments to this man to insure the best sound and inspiration. If you own a string instrument...take it in and let Saul look at it with you. A rare opportunity to step back in time and get the best sound from your instrument. Better call Saul!!! read more
