OMG what kind of Yinzer am I that I have never reviewed the Corner Cafe?
It is a quintessential, old-school, city neighboorhood bar up in the South Side Slopes.
The epitome of a dive bar with good cheer, laughter, and cheap drinks.
Not to mention live music! I've seen quite a few friends and their bands perform here over the years and it's always been a blast.
The service is typical Pittsburgh-friendly, neighborly, & cool.
One of my favorite places to just chill with friends or as I mentioned, catching some of them perform.
They don't have a parking lot, street parking only. And well, you know how that goes in the Slopes. If you don't, that means it's dicey and you may have to park a bit away.
When I still lived in the city (Bloomfield), we easily took the bus (54) there and back.
Consider bussing or car service.
