Do not hire Rick unless you want your job to never be completed, not built to the specs in the contract, promises broken, water leaking inside your building, water stains on exposed beams, your pavers to be loose and moving, pavers not installed per manufactures instructions or industry standard, pavers installed so poorly that four other contractors said the only fix was to tear them out and put new ones in, contractors to be amazed that anyone would install pavers so poorly, promises made to fix the problems and then don't show up, aggressive demands for final payment when the job is not complete, no contact for six months then a threatening letter, no required CCB notices, irrational statements about unrelated issues that have no bearing on the problems. During the meeting with the CCB mediator refused to admit mistakes or compromise. He built it without a permit and the day after mediation city inspectors showed up asking for my permit. Check his license with the CCB and look at all of his complaints. There are plenty of other quality contractors out there. read more
