Local historic building, formerly known as Protestant Children's Home, established in the 1800's because there were many orphans from Mobile's many Yellow Fever epidemics. Used by one of the local societies during Mardi Gras celebrations. There was a fire at this building in 2020, but cleanup and restoration went well because I can see no proof of any blaze. Located off of Dauphin Street and Broad Street near St. Francis Street. Has historical marker and a very old Southern Live Oak out front. read more
