Cotton sounded like an interesting restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the hostess, who offered us a seat upstairs, explaining that the other tables were reserved. However, throughout the evening, those tables remained empty, which left us wondering why we weren't allowed to sit downstairs. We even considered leaving, but thankfully, we were able to move to the bar area instead.
That's where Brandi, the bartender, truly turned our experience around. She was amazing--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the Honeysuckle Lemonade, which was delicious, and we shared the Deviled Farm Eggs as an appetizer. I also ordered a steak, well done, and appreciated that the chef came out personally to confirm if I was okay with it being butterflied.
The food was great, and the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. However, the initial interaction with the hostess left a bad impression and nearly cost Cotton our business today. The tables never filled up, which made her explanation feel dismissive.
Overall, we ended up enjoying ourselves thanks to Brandi and the kitchen staff. If the service at the door matched the level of hospitality at the bar, the experience would have been perfect. read more
