The outside of the Courthouse Galleries looks imposing (it used to be a courthouse, after all). Don't let that scare you. It's a nice gallery, spacious and with a good variety of exhibits.
Right now you don't even need to go inside to see one of them. There's an outdoor sculpture show in the courtyard of the galleries that's pretty cool. But it doesn't cost much to go into the galleries anyway. You can get a combo ticket to Courthouse and Andalo's Clubhouse (the temporary home of the Children's Museum right next door) for just $5.
It's really fun to go to Olde Towne in general, but the Galleries included, on their "First Fridays" night. A lot of the shops and galleries and restaurants have special events, noshes, music etc.
