crèmecart sells handmade ice cream sandwiches out of a colorful, retro-themed cart. Today, we enjoyed PBJ sandies: salty peanut butter cookies with blackberry ice cream! Delicious! We stumbled across crèmecart at the Saturday Farmers' Market on Orcas Island. The two ladies who run the crèmecart, Michelle and Sommer, sound like they are regulars at the Saturday Farmers' Market, and other island locations as well. They rotate many cool ice cream flavors and cookie combinations. Their crèmecart Facebook page listed many enticing flavors, including: butter cookie and strawberry cheesecake ice cream; dark chocolate cookie and ginger ice cream; chocolate cookie with: salted caramel ice cream or coconut ice cream or chocolate ice cream; lemon cookie with: lavender ice cream or vanilla ice cream; gluten free almond cookie with vanilla or chocolate ice cream; and on July 4th, Apple Pie Ice Cream Sandies. How fun is that? So, like any food cart, crèmecart is seasonal, and moves around following the crowds. Thankfully, Orcas is a small island, and I promise you, they are worth searching for!
