My house caught fire in March of 2022. At the time of the fire, there were 3 restoration companies on site. Crestline happened to be finishing up a job around the corner in my neighborhood. I've lived in my neighborhood since I was a year old so ,of course, I watched this restoration after their fire. Followed the progress... as luck would have, there was a reason I paid attention. Anyway, Mario was at my house and standing back. He did introduce himself and give me his card. Heidi came by as well. As did the family of the house around the corner-who I knew. The son talked to me on Mario's phone. Heidi came by. The other two companies were very aggressive on site, forcing business cards on me, trying to make me choose them right then. I said "I'm overwhelmed " and they didn't really back off. Fire trucks left. My windows were broken and there was a hole in the roof. Mario arranged for Crestline workers to board them up. They brought out Bret with Service Masters to begin clean up and he contacted my insurance. Another man stopped by about a place to live . Then the adventure began. My insurance adjuster dodged my calls. Although I told him that I wanted to use Crestline, he made get another company to do the estimate. This estimate was so low. Crestline helped me find a private adjuster and he was able to get the insurance to pay out better. My adjuster for the insurance was incommunicado for six months! In those six months, homeless people broke into my house, one man was living there. Others tore boards off the windows. Mind you, no contract with Crestline yet. Mario came and chased the homeless man that was sleeping there out, he had the windows boarded up the other time. If I went out of town, he came by and checked on the house .(I was staying next door). Then, finally, contracts are signed and the work began! Asbestos had to be removed! A window on one side of the was removed because it was extra sun and make for higher cooling costs. A window in the back was changed to a French doors. A wall was opened up to give more room. The bathroom was rearranged for more room!(SMALL bathroom!) Peter was so helpful and had great ideas. I was clueless. I had a brand new house after a few short months! And it is beautiful! read more
