This is a small town, hot rod themed, roadside diner. A family owned business, serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Good prices, adequate service.
I had the standard breakfast that I used to compare one diner to another. The order: two eggs (sunny side) with crispy bacon, crispy hashbrowns and a biscuit with gravy. At Cruis'n Kitchen this is called "The Basics." The meal is a bargain priced at $7.99. It includes two meats. I went with bacon and got 4 thick smoky slices. When the plate arrived, the waitress apologized for the hashbrowns; they were not crispy. Some problem with the flat top grill. The bacon was not crispy either. The biscuit was a Pillsbury factory made biscuit that appeared to come straight from the package without being finished in the oven. The gravy, from a mix.
My wife had the scrambler with two meats for $10.99. It is a big filling plate of food loaded with meat, two eggs, omelet vegies, cheese and hashbrowns. It also suffered due to the problem with the grill. Hashbrowns not crispy and the cheese not melted. She still enjoyed it though, Had the hashbrowns been cooked as requested it would have been a very good meal.
Our coffee cups stayed full.
If the grill is working properly, this is probably a great place for breakfast. read more
