I was having difficulty finding a place to get a long layers haircut, so I did some research and Reddit led me to this salon in Astoria. The pricing was super reasonable at $75. I booked the owner, Chris and was happy to find that he didn't charge more for Haircut and Blowout. The space was cute and cozy. Upon entering, I was welcomed and greeted by name. I was also offered coffee, tea, or water and given a place to sit. I opted for the coffee with Vanilla creamer and honey. Before the haircut, I consulted with Chris about the type of cut I wanted, showing photos of what I was thinking. He seemed confident and capable in his ability. Staff took me to the back to wash my hair with Sebastian products. After, I was given a red satiny robe for the haircut process. Chris was careful, expertly cutting and shaping my hair into the layers (to just below the shoulders) I've been wanting. He then blow dried my hair, giving it bounce, shine, and curl at the ends. The result was a beautiful head of hair showing off my new cut! Chris and staff were so friendly and genuine. The lovely lady at the front took some amazing photos of me, really showcasing my new haircut. Before leaving, I was able to try a Strawberry Kiwi slushie, which was refreshing, fruity, juicy and icy. I received many compliments on my haircut. I'll definitely be back! read more
