Came here on a Thursday evening after flying in from San Diego. The place stays busy so my mom made a reservation a few days in advance and was able to get us in at 7:45 pm.
First off, the restaurant is absolutely adorable. There's a beautiful wine wall when you walk in, and they even offer a stack of wines you can purchase for $30 with no corkage fee, which is such a great deal. We ended up getting two bottles.
We were seated in the back area, which was quiet with just a few other groups around. It was a really cute and cozy space.
We ordered:
* Arancini: good flavor, but a little dry.
* Burrata: absolutely phenomenal. The cheese was delicious, and the beets and tomatoes tasted incredibly fresh and organic.
* Chicken Piccata: this completely stole the show. The chicken was perfectly cooked and had so much flavor. The pasta served alongside it was very plain though.
* Alla Vodka with Shrimp (added): we added shrimp for some extra protein. The dish was definitely on the heavier side. Our waitress recommended it, but I probably would have chosen something else if I had known. It was very rich.
The one thing worth noting is that our appetizers came out pretty quickly, probably within 10-15 minutes, but we ended up waiting close to an hour for our entrées. They definitely should have paced the appetizers out a little better if the main courses were going to take that long to arrive.
Overall, the service was phenomenal, the atmosphere was charming, and the wine specials were fantastic. I'd definitely come back, especially for the chicken piccata. read more
