I have used this clinic many times but today is one that I will not let slip through the cracks. My daughter was needing to be seen for a simple strep test. The CVS website states that a 16 and/or 17 year old can be seen as long as there is a hand written letter signed by the parent with a copy of photo id and insurance card. My daughter came in for the appointment and the staff onsite Alicia and Clara refused to see her. I was on the phone with my daughter the entire time. I explained that we followed all requirements for my daughter to be seen without her parent present and they still refused. I had my daughter ask them for a phone number to file a complaint, and after giving us the run around and they finally provided us with the number 866-389-2727 to file this complaint. Clara slammed the door in my daughter's face while she was still talking. I called the complaint number and was told by the representative to have my daughter stay at the clinic because with the letter brought in my by daughter she should be seen with no issues. The representative said if my daughter left, they would cancel the appointment. My daughter waited until I provided her with further direction. The complaint representative walked me through additional steps to fill out an official authorization to treat form written by Minute Clinic. The form was filled out and sent to my daughter to present to Clara and Alicia. While my daughter was waiting to be seen, Clara looked at my daughter and told her that she needed to watch her attitude. My daughter told her that she did not have an attitude and reminded Clara that she slammed the door in her face while she was talking to her. Clara stated that she did not feel comfortable seeing my daughter and refused services. I heard and witnessed this unprofessional behavior displayed by Clara towards my daughter and she needs to be held accountable for her actions. This is unacceptable and both staff members of this minute clinic need direct Supervision and additional training. I have filed a complaint with Minute Clinic Headquarters.
