TL:DR: There's nothing I would change about my experience at San Giorgio.
It's a family owned Italian restaurant that makes their own pasta AND sauce. We were greeted by the owner/wife who handed us english menus and could tell we were visiting. I'm a fan of Italian food, pasta really, and i try it in every place I visit.
Mrs. Best Meal of My Life greeted us and dropped a basket of bread with oil dip, it was spicer than I expected but it was tasty! A few minutes later she took our order: a shared legina pizza, pasta pollama with mushrooms and roasted tomatoes, a glass of sauvignon blanc, and an orange fanta.
Everything.was.perfect. I honestly don't have any other way to describe it. The temperature, taste, seasoning, timing, etc. absolutely amazing.
We followed up with dessert delivered by the cutest, most efficient, bus boy ever (a son from the family). We ordered two glacé balls one chocolate and one white chocolate. We got another dessert but I forgot the name (a photo is attached to my review). They were both delicious! The ice cream tasted like ice cream. The other was a pudding/custard vanilla bean base with a dipping sauce, we chose cherry. It was so good I wrote the recipe down. They made it in-house too!
Before we left the owner/husband/cook came to talk to us about the history of his restaurant and how he makes the noodles and sauce in-house, by himself. He also told us about big events happening in the city, shows we should go to, and freeways to avoid. Super helpful.
Overall... The whole experience was perfect and i'll be coming back here every time I visit Paris. read more
