This is our first time having Indonesian in Holland. My mother and I knew to reserve our table as soon as possible after we walked by the restaurant. We missed an opportunity in Amsterdam due to our chosen restaurant being fully booked. We chose to eat here as our last dinner before flying home. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious inside. We were among the early parties, so the space was warming up for the night. Our guidebook recommended having a Dutch Rijtsttafel, and what better place to have it! This is a family-run establishment with a long history. Our menus came with Java-Bode, their house publication, detailing their 40-year history. The walls are adorned with vintage KLM Royal Dutch Airlines airplanes and advertisements. I love their nod to Dutch aviation. Our rijtsttafel was very enjoyable. It's hard to keep track of everything on the table, so I kept a menu for reference. What a great way to conclude our time in Holland! read more
