My husband and I decided to check Dead Language out after seeing them at a beer fest recently. I planned to write a review either way, and I can definitely say I was more than pleasantly surprised.
The taproom is in the old Hog River space in the Parkville section of Hartford. Feeling both open and cozy at the same time, there's plenty of square footage and lots of different seating options: bar, tables, couches, even booths. A pinball machine, arcade cabinet, and cupboard full of different board/card games rounded out the vibe.
There were only snacks in the actual space (including large pickles that our children loved), but we grabbed some wings, mac and cheese, and muffins from Petrolhead next door, which they offered to bring over to us when ready. Additionally, the beer list was both extensive and varied. Mostly traditional European styles, but they made sure to have an American IPA on for the hop heads as well.
Definitely a gem I'm glad I discovered. We'll definitely be back very soon! read more
