I have driven past this place for years and never realized this park was here until one day I saw a mountain bike rounding the peak. This unassuming multi-purpose park is designed to be a mountain bike park for all skill levels. It is also very accomodating for the backyard hiker. Desert Trails Park opened in November, 2014.  The park includes: 37 acres of hiking and biking trails. There are trails for advanced mountain bikers and for kids and beginners. There is covered parking and restrooms on site. The views from the peak are amazing. Not Camelback amazing, but you can see a good chunk of NE Meas.
