PERFECT IN A PINCH! I love Dollar Tree and I am absolutely amazed at what can be purchased for a dollar! I first discovered these stores while residing in upstate New York. They were the perfect place for getting treats for the kids and special activity books to use while traveling. Over the years, they have evolved into so much more and I have found myself looking here before even considering Walmart. This time I was in a real pinch and just needed to get some baskets for organizing. I knew that Dollar Tree would be a better choice due to their tendency to have a variety of colors and better quantities. Walmart just tends to have limited stock and very basic colors and I didn't have time to run around to different stores looking for baskets. This location had exactly what I needed in bold colors with varying sizes and shapes. Perfect!! PARENT ALERT... If you have a student in college who is crazy busy, (12 hour days) and only seems to be at home to eat, sleep and change clothing, check in with them. Don't just ask them how they are doing, actually go to their place to see how they are living because this will tell you everything you need to know. I recently went to my daughter's apartment (with my key and permission) and was shocked! Well, she has just been overwhelmed with grad-school activities and her internship so naturally the apartment was neglected. I also noticed that she was using her Sam's card for more than just gas and specialty items. She is shopping there like she has a house and six kids. There were huge quantities of everything so I had to go to work and organize every room, closet and drawer. I used the baskets to organize her kitchen pantry so that she could easily find items for baking, snacking or making her lunch. They were also great in the cabinets, laundry room and under the sinks to just keep all items clean and organized. After four days and countless hours of adding, subtracting, cleaning and organizing, all is right with the world again and my little princess is good to go. I can't lighten her academic load or help her study, but I can minimize her stress by making sure that her apartment is clean, cozy, comfortable and functional. It is a great way to support your student and something you may want to consider. Don't forget that Dollar Tree is great for cleaning supplies, (buckets, sponges, cleaning agents, deodorizers etc). This location is always well stocked and has exactly what I need. This was my second visit for the week as I had stopped in earlier to stock up on my favorite lotion which is now deliciously scented with Aloe Vera and Cocoa butter. The baskets and organizers that I purchased here were not available at the other location I visited prior to this visit so I was very happy to see them. Like many stores, these stores are a reflection of the surrounding area and tend to be better managed in certain locations. Upon entering this store, you will be warmly greeted and offered assistance as you shop. It is simply a pleasure to shop here and will always be my favorite location. read more
