Dot to Dot is a bright and shiny abstract sculpture using a variety of materials to attract the visitor's attention as they pull onto the campus of University of Indianapolis. Located just west of the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center, this sculpture is just northwest of the building. The top half of the sculpture is a burnished steel block that tapers as it rises. One side of the block is densely perforated with attached nodes that become less dense as you view towards the center. The other half of the steel is notched and cleaved. This all rests upon levels of stacked black metal girders (4 layers crisscrossed) and topped with a white pedestal for the steel to rest on securely.
The piece was created by Shawn Phillip Morin.
