I must admit that my time at this DoubleTree was extremely brief, flying into MKE late for a short business trip and not arriving at the hotel until after midnight was a marathon in itself! Then leaving at 8am the next morning left me with little time to really experience this property to the extent that I would have liked to.
The hotel is located easily off I-41 and was happy to find free parking which seems to not be the norm at most DoubleTree properties I've stayed at. The day prior to arrival I received email notification that my room was upgraded to a Jr. Suite, which was very nice.
Upon my arrival the front desk clerk was very quick to get me a key to my room but neglected to offer me a cookie, but since I was so beat from the long drive it didn't even occur to me until I got up to my room - so I quickly dismissed the idea of a late-night snack.
My room (702) was extremely spacious with a very comfortable king bed, well equipped bathroom, great desk area space, sofa, large wall mounted TV and mini-fridge and coffee maker!
The next morning, I got up and at 'em and was out of the hotel by 8am, no time for breakfast - grabbed a quick Starbucks on the way to the office and called it a day at the DoubleTree. Next time I am in the area, I have no doubt I'd stay again and hopefully that time will permit me with more time to experience and enjoy the property! read more
