We drove the 44 miles one way to Bowls and Cheers when we heard they had great Filipino food and we weren't disappointed! Went down on a Saturday when traffic was light and easily found the restaurant in a strip mall with lots of parking.
The family running the restaurant is helpful and friendly! It's a small restaurant with about 8 good size tables. A awesome menu including desserts!
We got : Jam Bowl Loco - it's a healthy scoop of rice - 1/2 lb brisket burger w/ a fried egg and brown gravy all over! Hubby said best loco moco he has ever had which is saying a lot since he's has a few hundred under his belt!
I got the pork BBQ Skewers (4) served with garlic fried rice and a papaya salad. I loved the BBQ pork lots of flavor and eaten with the rice and salad it was excellent! I enjoyed this dish very much and would order it again .
We also got the pork lumpia which was a great start to our meal.
Due to the long drive and the yummy food we decided to order the chicken adobo bowl as a take out. I can't wait to have it for dinner!
Vanessa was the friendliest person she and her husband own and run the restaurant plus do the cooking. She told us they do have specials and rotate their dishes which is an awesome idea for frequent visitors. It was a great trip - no traffic - awesome food- a great little excursion read more
