We drove the 44 miles one way to Bowls and Cheers when we heard they had great Filipino food and we weren't disappointed! Went down on a Saturday when traffic was light and easily found the restaurant in a strip mall with lots of parking. The family running the restaurant is helpful and friendly! It's a small restaurant with about 8 good size tables. A awesome menu including desserts! We got : Jam Bowl Loco - it's a healthy scoop of rice - 1/2 lb brisket burger w/ a fried egg and brown gravy all over! Hubby said best loco moco he has ever had which is saying a lot since he's has a few hundred under his belt! I got the pork BBQ Skewers (4) served with garlic fried rice and a papaya salad. I loved the BBQ pork lots of flavor and eaten with the rice and salad it was excellent! I enjoyed this dish very much and would order it again . We also got the pork lumpia which was a great start to our meal. Due to the long drive and the yummy food we decided to order the chicken adobo bowl as a take out. I can't wait to have it for dinner! Vanessa was the friendliest person she and her husband own and run the restaurant plus do the cooking.
