Dunkin Donuts just opened in Dover, and while it's one of the smaller ones, it's a breath of fresh air for this area.
Some residents of the greater Boston area probably have never even heard of Dover before. Even though Dover is one of the larger towns, in land, it has a low population and lots of conservation land, parks and other amenities that keep the area without crime and full of nature. Main point, It's a beautiful town with gorgeous homes and great parks and schools.
Now, what was and is still lacking in Dover is the "center" area. A gas station, one deli, a library, a post office, and one small market. What better thing else to add than a Dunkin Donuts!
Dunkin Donuts is so frequent around Boston that there definitely should be one in Dover, and with a historical building that was empty, Dunkin' decided to swoop up that building and put a brand new coffee shop there.
While there is no drive thru (no shocker.... the Dover Planning Board wouldn't ever pass that), it's nice to have one right in the center of Dover especially for nearby residents. The inside is very niche, modern and clean. They have a few tables overlooking the center of town, and a small bar as well. It's kept clean and the decor is pleasing.
And if you happen to look, all of the local newspapers have tons of coupons for this Dunkin location.
Staff are friendly and efficient; Simonica was especially helpful, and they seemed to do an amazing job of keeping the line moving and still maintaining orders correctly. I could see the small size of the restaurant becoming an issue if this place became busy, but other than that, I like it!
It may sneak up on you since the sign is different colors than normal Dunkin Donuts locations (gold and black), but it's definitely worth stopping at. Parking is right behind the building and they are open daily from 6am-8pm.
4 stars for the Dover Dunks. read more
