I would have given zero stars if possible. This avocado toast looks like it was forgotten in the toaster during a shift change and then served anyway out of spite. The bread is fully carbonized. Not "crispy." Not "extra toasted." Burnt. Black. Bitter. The kind of toast that crunches like a bad decision. Which is tragic, because the avocado and bacon on top are actually fine--almost good--but they're sitting on what can only be described as charcoal with toppings. Convince me the person making this did not know. I'll wait... I only uncovered the arson after getting home, but given that this was actually served to a customer I doubt there'd be any empathy offered had I returned to the store. I suspect the response to me pointing it out would have been a masterclass in not giving a single fuck, maybe a blank stare and the subtle energy of "that sounds like a you problem." If apathy were a menu item, it would be the daily special. Mistakes happen. Burnt toast happens. Not caring and serving it to a customer anyway...that's a choice. Latte was mediocre, because of course this is Dunkin. But between the scorched food and the obvious aggressively indifferent staff, this was a full miss.
