EC Manning Provincial Park is an amazing place to visit Summer or Winter! This place just has so much to offer to the day hiker to the multi day backpacker!
In the summer trips to the Lightning Lake chain are always nice with the amazing difference between areas along the lake chain. The trail to Three Brothers Mountain takes you through breathtaking meadows and wonderful wild flowers before putting you on an amazing ridge to the peak of One of the Brother Peaks. The trail To Poland Lake meanders to a very pretty lake. And to think this is just a quick snapshot of what you can find while exploring this park! The only thing holding people back is their fitness level so work on it and you will have no boundaries.
In the winter when it has been cold enough for long enough you can snowshoe on Lighting and Flash Lakes to get a whole new view of the area. There are lots of options in the winter as well especially if you have cross country skis!
If you have never spent any time in this park you have to change that quickly. This is an amazing place and only a couple hour drive from both Metro Vancouver and The Okanagan! Drop everything and head there right away. read more
