With lofty expectations fueled by Google and Yelp's rave reviews, we decided to take a brunch adventure at Eggstatic. Our table was ready in good time, and Kimberly, our waitress, welcomed us with a warm smile, setting the stage for what we hoped would have been an epic breakfast experience. Eggstatic is described as a trendy breakfast joint with a few quirky twists on classic dishes. My curiosity was piqued by the mouthwatering biscotti pancakes I'd spotted on Instagram, and I was eager to dig in. But, alas, my excitement deflated faster than a soufflé. While picture-perfect to capture, the pancakes tasted dry and dense. The silver lining? The scoop of heavenly vanilla ice cream came on top with all the sauce; yet, not enough to enjoy the dish. I had one bite and that was enough for me. Kimberly noticed my plate was practically untouched, after sharing my feedback she spoke with the kitchen who was willing to remake the dish. I opted for a croissant breakfast sandwich instead; however, their croissant base dishes were unavailable. I declined a remake of the pancakes. While it was kind of them to offer to remake the pancakes, I believe there was an opportunity to reduce my bill cost. (I paid for the full meal with no issues). Now, it wasn't all gloom and doom. My dining companion hit the jackpot with a delightful salmon dish and the drinks? They definitely hit the mark. In the grand scheme of brunch experiences, Eggstatic was a mixed experience.
