While traveling thru Nevada on US Highway 50 I stopped for lunch in Eureka, Nevada. The bottom floor of the hotel features a bar and restaurant, El Tapatio, which serves wonderful Mexican dishes. I chose to eat at the bar since it is a beautiful piece of workmanship. I started with dinner menu item # 8, 2 Chile Rellenos with flower tortillas, beans, and red rice. They serve bottled beer and drinks so I chose a Negro Modelo. For my second coarse I ordered the Chicken Mole. The mole sauce was wonderful. This time I chose the corn tortillas. I had a second beer. This is a family run business which has been here since 2023. I would recommend you stop for lunch or dinner as you travel along the loneliest highway in America. After your meal you can walk up and down the Main Street of Eureka and see this old western town. read more
