I'm pretty sure this was the first birria taco I had ever had. I know where the heck have I been?! Gotta say very satisfying. The accompanying broth had lots of flavor, studded with some pieces of meat and a few veggies i think. The tacos were cheesy and hot and pretty damn delicious. I was a bit rushed and had to eat my tacos quickly to make it somewhere else but as they cooled off the flavors were more easily distinguishable and overall more enjoyable. The first taco was a little hot and I didn't enjoy it as much due to the temperature but that's a good thing that it was fresh and piping hot. It was just my personal timing that was the problem. Oh a nice cold horchata was the perfect accompaniment. I would love to check them out again on a future trip to Durham. Now this is quite authentic and not upscale - a utilitarian space but nice service and quality food. Good for a satisfying meal. read more
